We were created to love and know to God… to really know and walk with Him and to love others. Yet we all fall short of what God initially intended for us. Sin has marred us and separated us from our Creator, crippling our faculties, depriving us of our strength and has served as the catalyst for the chaos that defines so much of what we see and hear everyday.
Knowing God through Jesus is love redefined. It is Jesus that reconciles us back to the Father. It is through our faith in Jesus that we are provided a hope of restoration upon His promised return. Until then, there is much to do... good news to spread, people in need to care for and stewardship of the earth as we know it, despite its present state.
Consider what God tells us in 1 John 3:16-18,
"By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth."
