A Letter from our Pastor

September 10, 2020

My Dear Sisters & Brothers,

I pray that this letter finds you doing well. It has been six months since we closed our church due to Covid-19, and many have been waiting patiently for us to reopen. You will be happy to know that the elders and I have set a reopening date for Sabbath, October 3, 2020. This reopening will take into consideration the Government’s Guidelines for Reopening Churches. Consequently, we will have a revised church service for only one hour (11am - 12pm). This service will include prayer, praise, children’s features, and the sermon. We are proposing that our virtual zoom Sabbath School be held after lunch from 3pm - 4pm. Members who plan to attend church will be required to complete a short questionnaire each week to verify their physical well-being. Visitors  who attend will be required to complete the questionnaire at the door. All who attend will have their temperatures taken at the door and be required to wear masks and practice social distancing while in the church building. Those who would rather not comply with these guidelines are asked to remain at home where they can continue view the service online.

Additionally, the elders and I will be starting a “Drive-by Prayer Program” on Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 3pm - 5:30pm. During this time, we will go from house to house and spend a maximum of 15 minutes with each family, interceding on their behalf. In keeping with social distancing, we will conduct this prayer in the balcony or driveway. We will repeat this every Sunday until we have prayed with all our members. We will set up special appointments for any family that requires additional time. Please expect a call as we set up the appointments for our Drive-by Prayers. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. God bless you!

Sincerely,

Pastor E.L. Natufe
